Fancy

Sorry for the slight absence on the old blog. I can't believe it's been almost a month.
The last two weeks have been pretty hectic even though I've been home alone I managed to get properly sick over the Easter break and I'm still recovering now.

The Thursday before Easter Brian invited me over to the cafe he works at The Stables of Como to keep him company whilst he did some chalk typography illustration on the walls.

So Brian put on some tunes and he began to draw. I brought some knitting, seeing as I have to make lots of beanies I'm pretty much trying to constantly knit. And in the words of Brian Gurl get knitting.

Brian is so so so talented I just cant say enough good things about him.
He and I are sharing the stall at Finders Keepers in July, I couldn't ask for a better stall buddy.
Here is some of his social media Facebook, Instagram and his Website.

Progress

Had a pretty pretty productive Sunday at the old knitting studio space...aka my bed.
Finished off the Purple beanie and made the yellow and grey one! I'm falling in love with every one I make but I'm also excited to see them all going off to new owners (hopefully!).
Luckily I haven't got sick of knitting these yet! And hopefully I'll get quicker at them too.

Approved!

A couple of weeks ago Brian and I decided to bite the bullet at apply for Finders Keepers Melbourne Autumn Winter Market 2014. And we found out last week...we were approved!
Brian Draws & Nicole Knits. Is a thing now. A proper thing. I took a day off work today and we sat down and worked out a few things and confirmed our attendance. It's happening!

Got a lot to do between now and then. So so so so so much knitting and crochet ahead of me but I am pretty fucking excited!

Here's the new beanie which I designed and made today on the train and during our meeting/brunch/coffee date. I'm pretty happy with this one. It and other like it will be available at the market in July!

Fair warning a lot of my posts between now and then will be about my progress leading up to the market. Gotta stay motivated!x
