Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year

Merry Christmas! This year, I decided to bake gifts for my friends and family. There is something special about receiving baked goods as a present that I love.

I made Cinnamon Sugared Almonds and the traditional Shortbread. And I found these amazing very Hipster on trend glasses with handles on Ebay. I had to keep a few for myself too hehe.

I hope whoever reads this is having a wonderful Holiday Season and have a Happy New Year!
I'll do my best to post more in the New Year. Here's to many more adventures, laughs and knitting!

I'm getting rusty

OH MAN, I don't even know where to start.

Our studio got split up two weeks ago and now its just the 3 stooges in our own little Graphics hide-hole. We're stressed there is too much to get done in not enough time and I'm in the middle of the biggest job we do that has to get to the printer tomorrow.

But Christmas is coming.

And I went of a lovely weekend away the pyrenees winery region. The only camera I took besides my phone was my film camera so hopefully I finish that roll at Christmas and I can upload those too.

Also been doing a little bit of more traditional design work in my spare time. I designed Grace a card and matching envelope and wrapping paper, she was very chuffed.

Definitely thinking about doing more of this stuff maybe to sell...I forgot how much I enjoyed these things. It's funny when you do something you love for a full time job that you neglect it in your spare time. Gotta get back into it.

OH AND I GOT A NEW MAC BOOK PRO...and knitted a case for my hard drive cos well, me.

That's about it. New Laptop, Design, Moved, Stressed, Winery and now onto Christmas. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things then.

Block Colour

Oooops kind of been awol lately.

Let me update you. I had Tonsillitis twice in the space of 3 weeks and I knitted a scarf!

The scarf is made from Pickles Summer Wool. I bought it probably a year ago but couldn't decide what to make with it. I'm very happy with this. Now I just have to get through summer to wear it!

Byron Bay Sunrise

Whoops forgot to post this one!

We made the brave decision to get up at sunrise to take some photos. We tried the morning before but slept through the alarm...

But the sunrise we remembered to get up for certainly did not disappoint.

Here is me taking the above photo. Photoception.

Byron Bay

We went to Byron Bay for a week. It was sunny, warm and quiet and I put on LOTS of sunscreen everyday. Here are some pictures we took.

I wish we were back there now. But we can't have too much of a good thing now can we?

A couple of weeks ago Dale and I took a lovely week away to Byron Bay.
Whilst we were relaxin' I finally finished my moss stitch scarf.
Photos taken by the wonderful Dale, DSLR lesson and photoshoot in one.

Luckily it's still a little cold in Melbourne so I can wear it for a few more days before summer finally comes and this pastey whitey will have to bathe in sunscreen.

I love me some film photography, I just get lazy in the photographing and developing of said film.
Finally I got two rolls developed! If you're interested the Black and White are on Lomography Lady Grey 400ISO 35mm film with my Pentax 1000 SLR and the Colour film is Lomography Colour 400ISO 35mm with my La Sardina Camera also from Lomography!

It is what it is.

Our mantra in the Design Studio, turned into some nice typography.
By the end of the year I think I could fill a gallery with these posters.

Finders Keepers

So Finders Keepers was just over a week ago now. Surprise surprise after that full on weekend I got sick! WEW!

Anyway onto the market! We set up around 3:30pm and it was pretty hectic but we got there! Looking fiiiiine in our fluros.

This is what the finished stall looked like, thanks to my dad for building the back wall and making us look pretty damn good.

My boss came up with the grand scheme to put our faces on lollypops. They were the best seller of the market, probably because they were free...and sugar.

Over the course of the market I left 3 Curositea's around the place. They all got picked up, I hope they're happy in their new homes!

The weekend was amazing and insane so many people so little time, sometimes there were so many people we couldn't actually get into our stall! But it was great fun. Much red bull and coffee was consumed a long with a lot of laughs and chatting to so many people. Onto the next market, don't know when don't know where but I'll keep you posted! Thanks to anyone who came and said hello and bought something! Thanks for having us Finders Keepers!
