Iceland Part 1 - Reykjavik

After the spectacular that was Sigur Ros, we flew out of Manchester to Reykjavik.
This was our first of two early morning flights and OH MY, I forget how much my body requires sleep. But It was all worth it when we arrived.

Reykjavik is the largest city in Iceland. It is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been too.

We stayed with a family through Air BnB and Sessy was amazing and accommodating. This was the view outside our little basement apartment front door. Their garden was stunning. EVERYTHING WAS STUNNING!

A short walk from where we were staying was the coast of Reykjavik, a stunning rocky ledge that met the water. Walking along the coast into town is about a two km walk but it didn't feel like it, because you are surrounded by such beautiful views.

The architecture in Reykjavik is so unique, instead of me trying to put it into words here are some pictures.

Sigur Rós @ Jodrell Bank

On the 30th of August 2013 Brian's Birthday, Steph, Jo, Brian and myself ventured from London to Manchester and beyond to Jodrell Bank Observatory to see Sigur Rós live, outdoors, in an english field infront of a satellite dish. What. Just What.

The wonderful Jo drove us all the way there through extreme traffic and much time waisted "forming a queue" but we eventually got there and just. WOW.

We were exhausted, It did have rain, I may have had too much cider and needed to wee during the set, but nothing could have ruined this night. Hands down the best outdoor gig I've been to ever. So glad I brought my camera.x
